Temple University, Japan Campus (TUJ) has agreed with Tulane University to enable first-year students from the New Orleans-based institution to study at TUJ as part of Tulane’s renowned Spring Scholars program, commencing from the fall semester in September 2024. TUJ’s unwavering commitment to international education, practical learning and prioritizing student success has been attracting students in Japan and around the world, resulting in record-high enrollment over numerous semesters in recent years.
Reflecting these efforts, TUJ was selected as one of Tulane’s partner universities, underscoring the recognition of the invaluable benefits of international exchange for students. TUJ stands as the sole representative from Asia among the five chosen institutions. The remaining partners are from various European countries, including France, Italy, Spain and the UK.
The agreement, formalized through a Memorandum of Understanding, paves the way for a select number of Tulane’s Spring Scholars to join TUJ’s undergraduate courses on a non-matriculated basis. In a collaborative effort, both universities are committed to streamlining the admission process for Spring Scholars at TUJ. The inaugural group is scheduled to begin their studies at TUJ during the fall semester, preceding their matriculation at Tulane in the spring semester of 2025.
Tulane University, founded in 1834 as the Medical College of Louisiana, is a prestigious private research institution located in the state of Louisiana. It holds the 73rd position in the U.S. national university rankings by U.S. News and World Report.
