Leveraging Temple University’s multi-campus appeal, with its Main Campus in Philadelphia in the U.S. and branch campuses in Tokyo and Rome, Temple University, Japan Campus (TUJ) launched the new “Fly to Rome Program” this fall semester. The initiative significantly reduces the cost of studying abroad in Rome while enhancing TUJ’s global attractiveness.

Prior to that, the “Fly to Philly Program,” first launched in 2022, has already generated strong interest, enabling students based in Japan to study more flexibly, gain valuable international experience, and broaden their academic opportunities, while also benefiting from TUJ’s affordable tuition prices at Temple’s Main Campus in Philadelphia.

Students participating in the Fly to Rome Program, as well as those considering enrollment in the future, will soon benefit from a broader range of academic offerings. Temple University recently announced a major expansion of its international presence. Beginning in the fall semester of 2026, Temple Rome will offer a comprehensive array of four-year bachelor’s degree programs for the first time. This is a significant change for the campus, which has primarily served as a location for students from Temple’s Main Campus and 40 different colleges and universities around the U.S. to attend a semester abroad or start their undergraduate degree through the Temple Rome Entry Year Program.
