Temple University, Japan Campus (TUJ) signed an Agreement on Credit Transfer with Showa Women’s University (SWU) on June 21, 2016.

This agreement will allow students from both universities to register for credit-bearing courses at either university, creating more opportunities for student exchange between Japanese and American universities to take advantage of the characteristics of each.

SWU has a branch campus in Boston, Massachusetts, and vigorously promotes global education. SWU expects that TUJ’s program will help students returning from Boston maintain and improve their English and will be good preparation for students who plan to study abroad in the future. And TUJ students will be able to further enhance their understanding of Japan and Japanese through lectures offered at SWU, whose educational philosophy puts strong emphasis on Japanese language education and the importance of its culture and tradition.

From fall semester 2016, starting in late August, TUJ will welcome a maximum of 15 SWU students, while TUJ will start sending students to SWU in the future.
