The Temple University, Japan Campus (TUJ) art department is pleased to announce Supplement: Tokyo, a new series of art and design related talks. The event series will launch on October 4 at 18:30 at TUJ’s Azabu Hall in the newly designed Parliament Student Lounge and will be open to the public, no registration required. Supplement One will feature talks by:
- Chris Palmieri of AQ, one of Tokyo’s digital design studios
- Taro Nettleton, faculty at TUJ and cultural researcher
- W. David Marx, author of the recent book Ametora: How Japan Saved American Style
- Jennifer McKnight, graphic designer and faculty at University of Missouri St. Louis
The theme of this first edition is the intersection of writing and design. The talks will be followed by a Q&A panel session moderated by graphic designer and TUJ faculty member Ian Lynam.
Message from the Organizer
We are extremely excited for Supplement: One. It brings together some of Japan and America’s leading technologists, art/design thinkers, critics and designers in what is sure to be a memorable event.
Additionally, the series is co-sponsored by Canvas, the online community for designers and creatives, as well as IDEA, Japan’s graphic design publication.
We look forward to seeing you there!
