Temple University continues to shine in prominent rankings recently released by two major international publications. In the latest Times Higher Education (THE) annual survey, Temple was ranked in the 351-400 group among more than 2,000 elite universities across 115 countries and regions. U.S. News and World Report also ranked Temple in the top 50 of public universities and top 100 of its Best Colleges rankings for U.S. universities for the second straight year.

Temple University, a top-tier public research institution, is internationally recognized for its multi-campus system extending from Pennsylvania (USA) to Rome and Japan. Established in 1982, Temple University, Japan Campus (TUJ) is the oldest and largest branch campus of a foreign university in Japan. In 2005, TUJ became the first university to be officially designated a Foreign University, Japan Campus by Japan’s Ministry of Education, Culture, Sports, Science and Technology.

TUJ is an integral part of the Main Campus in Philadelphia, with students earning Temple credits and degrees directly from the main campus while studying in Japan alongside over 2,700 undergraduate and graduate students. Over the past four years, TUJ has more than doubled in size, leading to the highly anticipated launch of a multi-building satellite location in Kyoto in January 2025.

On October 9, 2024, Times Higher Education announced its 21st edition of the World University Ranking for 2025. The rankings are based on data provided by institutions worldwide, which are thoroughly analyzed and evaluated against the relevant criteria.
